For those that do not like to do many activities, the Gold Coast possesses many attractions for all ages. The best and the most interesting ones apart from the Theme Parks are:
Ripley's Believe It or Not
Museum - This museum of the old series of called TV Believe it or not, is located well in the centre of Surfers Paradise. This place is filled with very unique and bizarre things such as; The fattest woman in the world, the tallest man in the world, human skulls the size of tennis balls, tiny and perfect sculptures that only can be observed through increase lenses, a coal from the titanic and much more. Opening hours are 9 am to 11 pm, 7 days per week.
The Wax
Museum - Is the biggest wax museum in the Southern Hemisphere, with most figures being of actual size, and includes figures such as Michael Jackson, Einstein, President Lincoln and many others. One great attraction in the museum is the chamber of horrors, with devices of medieval torture, and figures in wax, portraying the punishments of the time. It located in Surfers Paradise and opens from 10 am to 10 pm.
Infinity
- Is a hall where will travel through 20 futuristic worlds full of special effects and fantastic optical illusions. It opens from 10 am to 10 pm and is also located in Surfers Paradise.
Couran Cove Island
Resort - This resort offers authentic Aborigine dance shows from the local Nunukul and Kombumerri tribes on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. There are day and night tours available which includes dinner and guided strolls in South Stradbroke Island.
Island Beach Club
Cruise - located in South Stradbroke Island, this place offers 1500 square meters of swimming pools, fabulous beaches, and 4WD safaris.
Carlton
Brewhouse - Tour the famous beer plant, where the final product can be better appreciated through observing the process of manufacture and bottling and the best thing of all, can be tested. Tours include 10 am to 12 pm and from 12 pm to the 2 pm, Monday to Friday. The Plant is in Yatala, exit 41 of the Pacific Highway.
Hard Rock
Cafe - located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, and includes its world famous store, restaurant and bar. Opens daily, from 8 am till late.
Dracula's Cabaret
Restaurant - As the name suggests, this place offers a show together with excellent food, in the way of horror and comedy. It is located at Broadbeach beside the Pacific Fair Shopping center.
Carrara
Market - Operating on Saturdays and Sundays only, in the suburb of Carrara,
this public market offers over 500 stalls of all types of products and arts and crafts. The market is large and the variety of products that can be found is fantastic. It begins at 6 am and runs to about 3 pm.
